Sling has been working on a native app for the iPhone so you can stream your TV directly on your phone. They showed Engadget a pre-alpha proof-of-concept and gave them a quick hands-on with the proof-of-concept. The demo, which also runs on the iPod touch, offers the ability to connect to your Slingbox and control it using the iPhone’s touchscreen.
Sling is an online interface for the Slingbox, a device that hooks up to your TV connection and streams what’s on your TV to the Sling Player software on a computer or phone via Internet, wherever you are.
Since Apple hasn’t officially accepted Sling into the developer program yet, the app will most likely be available for jailbroken iPhone, at least until Apple gets them on board.
