Target is Going to Sell iPhones

“At Target we continue to offer our guests the best in electronics, so we’re happy to add iPhone to our Target Mobile offerings.” The senior VP of Target merchandising has confirmed that Target is slated to be the next retail chain to sell iPhones.

The iPhone 4 and 3GS will be available at all Target locations for walk-in purchases on November 7. Target has now joined the ranks of Walmart and Best Buy as a major retail partner for iPhone. Target has also promised to have in-store activations for AT&T…

In the official press statement, a Target spokesperson said, “With expert support from Target Mobile specialists and in-store activation, our guests will be able to leave the store with a new, working iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 in-hand.”

It’s nice to see the iPhone branching out into major retail chains. Getting the iPhone in more stores can mean nothing but good for Apple’s mobile market share.

Plus, any excuse to not have to enter an AT&T store is a warm welcome, right?
