iOS 4 Jailbreak Won’t Be Called Spirit

We’ve all been waiting for a while for the new jailbreak for iOS 4 and it sure seems we are on the right track. I know many of you are very anxious for the tool to be released but I’m not. I really want my jailbreak back too but I want it stable and bug free, which is why it hasn’t been released yet.

We’ve all been thinking the new jailbreak will just be an update to Spirit, and we all assumed the name of the tool would be Spirit 2 or something along these lines. Today a little bird tells me the new jailbreak for iOS 4 and iPhone 4 will not be called Spirit.

Now don’t ask me what it’s going to be because I don’t know. iPhone hacker iH8Sn0w joked that the new jailbreak would include “pie” in its name but this is not true.

Just for the fun of it, what do you think it should be called? Sn0wSt0rm? Blu3Thund3r? UltraDr1zzle?

    What about the rumour about it not needing a pc or mac because it’s done by going to a web site from the idevice. Just like 1.x days. Can can remember musclenerd tweeting about – if you wont to help chpwn click the link below – and when you did you got a popup message saying what iPhone I had, i.e. iPhone 2.1 Which is a 3gs and that’s what i got

    Who gives a fuck about the dam jailbreak name. 4.1 is around the corner. 4.1 Is coming out no later then the August 3rd. It’s a trend that apple does after ever OS. This jailbreak process has taking forever. For 5 weeks people have been waiting and we keep frequently reading the threads about comex confirmed planetbeing the 1 st. Fucking dev-team people work out of space and it’s not coming to earth soon. The jailbreak should be called “WOT”. Waste of time..

    Question: When is the iPhone 4 Jailbreak and Unlock is going to be released?

    Comex: You will have to ask Saurik if he’s done with that bootstrap yet. Like I hate to say this because people will be complaining, but it is pretty close to done.

    PlanetBeing: Unlock is done. Just waiting for the jailbreak to be released.

    Chpwn: The jailbreak definitely needs a lot of testing before it is released, to make sure it works on everybody’s phone, and that there are no issues like Spirit had where it deleted all of your photos in the first few days of the release.

    My Apple iOS 4 has been stable… Think all the waiting has taken the fun out of it and plan on just staying on stock OS’s for all devices… Besides, leave it to the hackers…. They know how, and they can play with it… It was cool, but has now lost it’s bling…
