Top 40 iPhone Apps of 2009

by Sebastien on December 14th, 2009

With over 100,000 apps in the App Store, it’s not always easy to figure out what the best applications are. Besides, what’s best for me might not be best for you as we all have different needs.

One criteria that makes it easy to figure out if an app is good or not is the amount sold. The more it sells, the better it is, right? Apple recently came up with a list of those top best seller and top rated apps.

Games

Apps

Which of these apps do you own?

  2. From that list I have NFS and I bought it on “turkey day” for $3 bucks  I guess Im gonna have to check out the rest.
As for the Navigation App I have XGPS and I think it’s great plus it a lot cheaper than the others GPS. I’m using the First Gen Iphone and it runs smooth.

  3. What will they think of next…I read somewhere that some company is calling iPhone lovers nuts. What’s crazy about loving a great product, what’s crazy about not wanting to pay for over and over again something that you’ve already bought/paid for??? ….
Whine and cry all you want…iPhone will always be the best…idc what anybody says about Apple/iPhone I am forever a loyal customer…I even put up with my high AT&T bill just for my iPhone…maybe I am nuts….nuts about my iPhone…Steve Jobs is a genius…

  4. Iphone sucks. Its a fashon statement not a phone. Ohh yea your 100,000 iphone apps, ifart.. ibelch.. igun tom tom gps is like 50 dollars when you can get it on android free. Droid has full keyboard iphone doesn’t. Droid has better screen. Iphone doesn’t. Droid let’s you easily back up your contacts and automatically backs up everything to their surver so no matter what google phone you have you can always get your pictures and contacts back. Must I keep going? Apple makes you pay for their updates. Droid pushes them out over the air for free. Droid is better by so much. Iphone is about looks and looks only, apple says its a gaming system when the battery can’t support it

  5. GPS = Waze (www.waze.com). By far the best, and it’s FREE!

  6. Yeah, Joe … we know … the Droid is the iPhone killer. Blah blah blah. Like so many other smartphones before it.

This is a post about apps for the iPhone, not a review of the iPhone … or a comparison of the iPhone to any other device. Take it somewhere else, please.

  7. Pano is amazing.

Interesting that there aren’t more photo apps listed … maybe it’s just because I’m into photography …

  8. Useful and excellent content, thanks for the sharing! :

  9. Games
    Assassin’s Creed

    Apps
TomTom Australia is what I have but I also mostly use Google Maps :D
Pocket God ? How is this an App? But got it.
Jamie Oliver’s 20 Minute Meals – Possibly the BEST application I’ve used. I don’t care what it cost me it is worth it for the info and worth it just to have a look at how sweet they did the interface. Well done.

So of the top list I have bugger all… :/
