MobileInstallation Patch For iPhone 3.0

A new MobileInstallation patch is required for iPhone users who updated to 3.0. While some people report that you can use the MobileInstallation patch for 3.0 beta, there is also another solution.
Simply go to Cydia and add the following source: http://cydia.hackulo.us.
Then install the application called AppSync. This will patch your MobileInstallation file.
You can find all MobileInstallation patch files for all firmwares here.

So i tried to dl the beta 5 one.. cant do it cause the limit was 10 download
i intalled the one for 3.0 but wont let me see the games on my iphone so i dont really know what to do. i did all the modifications like we had to do on the 2.2.1
I dont get it it works with installous but if i do the normal way it doesnt work like before wtffff
works 100% for me… dont forget to reboot after installing appsync
You just installed that? didnt do all the steps we had to do with 2.2.1?

Is it possible that some apps dont work co there are not os 3.0 compatible? With installous some work and some dont.
Can anyone post the patched MobileInstallation file from their v3.0 iPhone/iPod Touch? I don’t have Wi-Fi, so can’t get it that way. Only way is to download the MI file and replace the original one using DiskAid. Please help.
Alright well after reset my iphone to 3.0 and doing the patch i installed need for speed which didnt work on it and it worked so after that i put my back up back on the phone and stuff wouldnt install properly when i synced cracked app so i reset again and didnt use my back up file restarted at 0. Everything seems to be working fine so if you have the same issue as me which was after syncing you wouldnt see the games or apps do not use your back up file.

I followed the steps several times. when i reboot my iphone goes black with the apple logo and stays there.
I have tried Appsync. Although games did work I have lost phone functions – phone application wouldn’t start. So I will wait for more stable sollution.
Hew I had no problem with th AppSync, actually is better because you don’t have to change anything in the Iphone . .the app does it for you great post .keep the good work
If you are doing it the same way you did on 2.2.1 then that’s why you are having issues. Just add the source and install appsync and then reboot iPhone. Bamm that’s it. Over 20 apps still working for me

Well I tried appsync and all of the apps that I actually purchased, yes purchased or were free, didn’t want to start up.
Yes I restarted the phone, yes I tried reinstalling my apps and still nothing. The jailbroken apps from appulous worked fine, but the purchased ones did not.
Anybody else have a similar problem.

I refreshed and re installed the redsnow and ultrasnow and without using appsync, my apps work fine, so they are 3.0 capable.
gives me size mismatch error!!!!
Mea culpa! I have been using redsnow 0.71. When I have switched to 0.72 everything works fine. I installed Cydia only btw.
After downloading AppSync through Cydia, shutting Off and re Booting the unit,
should I uninstall AppSync through Cydia’s Re-Install/Remove routine….?

Installing appsync keeps giving me mismatch error though i tried to refresh from the changes tab (heard it might solve it) but i just didnt……
any clues?

Worked perfectly fine, just added the source in cydia, it automatically refreshed. Found by searching for the name and the app installed fine. Did a reboot and able to install an application. I verified that the application works fine.

I installed a free app from the app store after installing Appsync.
After the new app from the app store worked, I put the cracked ones on. They all work.

I just replaced the installd file using winscp and putty, and it works on 3.0 just like on 2.2.x. I tried installing the ipa file from Navigon GPS navigation software and it works flawlessly
Works fine with Ipod Touch 1st Gen with just updated firmware 3.0.
can anybody tell me exactly wat to do…..after i installed appsync on my iphone….do i simply have to reboot the phone….then wat….???…is that gonna enable me to simply drag n drop ipa files in itunes n sync….n apps will get installed on my iphone…….do ihave to follow the 2..2.1 firmware procedure of SSHing into your iphone n changing file permission n all……seabastian…if u ther pls reply….
Is posting the patched file that difficult? What about those with iPod Touch and without Wi-Fi?

You can install the appsync.deb file without Wi-Fi. Get it from http://www.mediafire.com/?ggntymdxube. Just transfer the deb file to /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutiInstall/ using DiskAid and reboot.

it works fine just dont rename MobileInstallation file keep it the same and then patch the file (Only in OS 3.0)
i did it using appsync but then i selected respring. then it got stuck

After installing Appsync my phone crashed. I can reach the files with SSH, but the springbpoard doesn’t start at all. What should I do? How could I undo the changes that Appsync did? What files are changed by Appsync? I am really in big trouble. Restore take always a whole day…

I tried to install Appsync again, this time through SSH, the result:
