How to completely erase user data from your iPhone

Let’s say you want to buy the new iPhone 3G and for that, you’re going to resell your old iPhone. You may want to delete all your private data from there first, right?

Simply hitting “restore” is not enough to clean up your iPhone from all your personal data. Even though the average user will not be able to access some of your old private data, an experienced user might be able to retrieve it.
